California trip

Before I let an entire month go by with no post, I better share a bit of what we've been up to.

Matt accepted a job at Google (!!) and headed off to Mountain View, CA for two weeks of training (though his job will be in Chicago).  It turns out that Google is just about as cool as we had  heard, and being a "Noogler" involves stuffing more information that you thought possible into your brain, and then topping it with a cute rainbow beanie.  We're so proud...

I got to take a quick trip out to California to visit Matt, see the Google campus and enjoy a few days in San Francisco.  Kudos to my husband who successfully drove the hilly streets of downtown San Fran in our rented Prius.  We dreamed of what it would be like if we could take our icy Chicago weather to the San Francisco geography...

To summarize the kids recent days: pink eye, sinus infection, ear infection, rash, trips to the doctor, lots of meds, and still managing to have enough energy to run Mom and the grandparents a little ragged!  Oh to be a toddler again...
